On February 12th, students from Hall - West High School of Innovation took part in the Special Olympics, proudly representing their school and making a strong impact! Students had a great time competing against their peers from other high schools in the Central Arkansas area. It was a fun and exciting event that brought everyone together!

Fredrick Love and Sen. Clarke Tucker. This hands-on opportunity gave them a behind-the-scenes look at the legislative process and a chance to engage with state leaders. Way to go, Warriors! 🔥💪


On February 7th, students in the Biomedical Science Pathway, had the chance to visit the UAMS Radiology Department to learn more about becoming a Radiologic Technologist. They listened to testimonials from professionals in the field and even had the opportunity to practice performing an ultrasound examination for themselves.

LRSD achieves significant milestone based on latest ATLAS assessment results/cut scores. Div. of Elem&Sec. Ed at ADE announced that LRSD has surpassed the performance threshold outlined by the State & will no longer be required to participate in quarterly Act 1082 check-ins.

Out of an abundance of caution and after consultation with surrounding districts, LRSD’s Safety and Security team, First Student Transportation, and the National Weather Service, LRSD will close schools and offices on Thursday and Friday, January 9-10, 2025, due to anticipated inclement weather. Forecasters predict significant freezing/snow conditions moving into our area starting tomorrow. All athletic events are also canceled. In making weather-related decisions, LRSD prioritizes the safety of students and staff.
LRSD staff, please monitor your emails for additional instructions from our Human Resources Department.

Last week, Superintendent Dr. Jermall Wright held engaging discussions with students at Hall-West, Little Rock Southwest, and Parkview and Central High Schools about cell phone usage in schools. Students shared valuable insights on how cell phones impact their academics and activities. These conversations are helping shape the district’s approach to creating a positive learning environment.
