Wakefield Elementary and Hall-West High School of Innovation have been honored by the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas for outstanding student growth on the ATLAS exams. These schools earned the Beating the Odds recognition, highlighting their success in helping students achieve high academic growth despite serving a large percentage of students who participate in Free and Reduced Lunch programs.
Wakefield Elementary received multiple awards, including:
High Overall Growth (Statewide)
High Math Growth (Statewide)
High Overall Growth (Central Region)
High Math Growth (Central Region)
High ELA Growth (Central Region)
Hall-West received the High Math Growth Award for the Central Region as well.
These distinctions are based on 2024 content growth scores from the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education, measuring how much students improved compared to their peers statewide.
